What you’ll be doing
We are looking for an Assistant Project Leader to join the construction logistics team within the UK Parliament — a unique opportunity to work at the heart of one of the most complex and historically significant estates in the world. As part of the Strategic Estates directorate, you will help ensure the safe, efficient and compliant planning of construction activity across a live World Heritage site. This role is ideal for someone looking to expand their project delivery skills in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where logistics, safety and operational excellence intersect.
This small team of five plays a crucial role in coordinating and enabling over 180 active and planned projects across the estate, managing all works on site and future works planning, including 22 live sites rising to over 40 by 2026/27. You will support day‑to‑day logistics, safety and welfare arrangements for contractors, and provide essential operational continuity for the Construction Manager, Logistics Manager and Head of Construction.
Hybrid working: This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with an expectation of spending a minimum of 40% of your time on the Parliamentary Estate
